How not to fall in love with this place?

Monforte d’Alba is one of the eleven communes where Barolo DOCG is produced and is part of the Union of Municipalities Colline di Langa and Barolo. It is a beautiful medieval village in the Langa of Barolo, surrounded by gentle rolling hills on which the vineyards extend. A precious pearl set in the Langa that you will fall in love with at first glance, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 2018 and among the most beautiful villages in Italy.


What are Langhe?

Langhe are the three distinctive hills that run from southern Piedmont to north-east, to meet the Po valley. They extend for about 200 km. The Barolo area belongs to the western chain between Belbo and Tanaro rivers, with the city of Alba as its capital.
All the roads in the Langhe area follow the crest of the hills and even the inhabited centers are generally on these crests. The sight of Langhe, dotted with castles, towers, villages, chapels for pilgrims, is something spectacular that fills the heart with beauty.


What to do in Langhe?

Langhe are the ideal destination for a romantic weekend, for a mini vacation or for a longer holiday to enjoy culinary tastings, outdoor sports and relax.


Monforte d’Alba

One of the most visited destinations in the heart of Langhe is Monforte d’Alba, very close to our country house.It is a beautiful medieval village with a central square and small streets that climb towards panoramic points where you can admire the hills. It is the most “worldly” place, with many events taking place annually such as “Monforte in Jazz”.
